Sport Management
Internship and Career Fair

Undergraduate sport management students will have an opportunity to get their feet wet at the Sport Management Job Fair Monday evening. The event will be held at the Equestrian Center and will feature a number of national and local sport teams and organizations.

Students in the 225 Practical Skills class learned specific strategies as they coordinated the job fair. In order to secure their vendors, students reached out by using marketing packages they created.

“We have over 25 clubs and organizations at the moment,” said Clinical Assistant Professor Dr. Sloane Milstein. “I think this event will not only help the students increase their awareness and confidence, but also get them to start making those important connections.”

Organizations include: The Houston Rockets, Houston Texans, Houston Dynamo, Texas Rangers, Brazos Valley Bombers, and the 12th Man Foundation.

“We want as many freshmen and sophomore students to attend as well,” said Dr. Milstein. “It’ll be a great way for them to see the tangible things that they can be apart of in the sport world.”

"During my time in Dr. Milstein`s class in the fall of 2017, my class worked on putting together the Sport Management Internship and Career Fair. It is to this day still the most biggest and most memorable event I worked on. It was one of the first leadership roles I took on and the skills I learned in project management are things I am currently applying to my career. Dr. Milstein gave us all the tools to be successful and as such the event was a great success. It will always be one of the most memorable periods during my time at Texas A&M and I thank Dr. Milstein for not only giving me the opportunity to be a part of the project, but also to take on a lead role."
